Within Interreg project AdriACTIVE, the project partners work intensively on the collection and analysis of data that will serve as a basis for the further development of sustainable and innovative tourism solutions in the area included in the project.
One of the important activities of the project is analysis of the tourism potential of the project area, prepared by the project partner PP6 – CISET (International Center of Studies on the Tourism Economy) from Venice. The analysis is based on the data and information provided by the project partners for their areas, which gradually creates a broader picture of tourism resources, needs, potential and development challenges in the area included in AdriACTIVE.
This activity was preceded by needs analysis and interviews with representatives of different stakeholder categories, which collected additional information about the current situation, needs and possibilities for developing the tourist offer. The preparation is currently underway. Gap Analysis, whose goal is to identify existing shortcomings, needs and opportunities for improving the tourist offer, destination management and the use of available data and digital solutions.
Regional Development Agency of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County – PRIGODA regularly contributes to this process by providing requested data and information for the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County area and participating in the exchange of information with project partners. Special attention is paid to connecting natural and cultural heritage, tourist attractions, events and other content, and the possibilities for better valorization of lesser-known and less-visited areas, including Gorski kotar.
The data collected and the analyses performed are not an end in themselves. Their goal is to ensure high-quality and common analytical basis for making development decisions decisions and designing solutions that will meet the real needs of destinations and their visitors. Based on the results of the analyses conducted and the contributions of all project partners, a joint strategic document, one of the most important planned results of the AdriACTIVE project. The document will consolidate key findings and development guidelines and represent the basis for further cooperation between partners and the development of joint cross-border tourism solutions.
