Regional Development Agency of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County – PRIGODA within the project AdriaACTIVE, co-financed by the Interreg Italy-Croatia programme, maps stakeholders important for the development of sustainable tourism experiences. Among them are tourist boards, public institutions, entrepreneurs, local associations and citizens. The mapping will help us better understand the needs and opportunities of different parts of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County. Special attention is paid to connecting coastal and island areas with the hinterland and to including lesser-known locations in the tourism offer. Stakeholder cooperation, reliable data and responsible use of digital and AI tools are important for modern management of tourist destinations, as also emphasized by international institutions dealing with tourism development. The mapping results will serve as a basis for further project activities and the development of solutions aimed at better management of tourist flows, greater visibility of lesser-known places and more balanced development of tourism.
