The European Association of Development Agencies (EURADA) is a non-profit organisation founded in 1992 and based in Brussels, which brings together development agencies, regional development organisations and economic and regional development experts from across Europe. One of its key tasks is to represent the interests of development agencies before the European Union institutions and to strengthen their role in shaping European development policies.

As an international network of development agencies, EURADA provides its members with a platform for exchanging knowledge and experiences, developing partnerships, preparing joint European projects and actively participating in discussions on the future of cohesion policy, innovation and regional development. It places particular emphasis on promoting innovative approaches to regional development, transferring good practice and connecting experts working in the field of economic and social development.

Today, EURADA brings together more than 60 organisations from 20 European countries and is one of the leading European networks of development agencies. Its network includes members from the EU Member States, accession countries and neighbouring countries, and through a community of experts it encourages the development of new methodologies, the exchange of experiences and the joint finding of answers to contemporary social, economic and development challenges.

Benefits of EURADA membership

The association is involved in numerous initiatives and activities of the European Commission related to innovation, smart specialization, interregional cooperation, cluster development, territorial transformation and strengthening of regional capacities. By participating in these initiatives, members gain direct access to the latest information, expertise and cooperation opportunities at the European level.

Regional Development Agency of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County in EURADA

The Regional Development Agency of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County has been a member of EURADA since August 2024. By joining this European network, the Agency became part of a community of development organizations that work together to improve regional development, strengthen the competitiveness of European regions and develop international partnerships.

Since joining EURADA, the Agency's staff have regularly participated in member meetings, international conferences and expert working groups, where they exchange experiences with colleagues from other European regions and follow the latest trends and policies of the European Union in the field of regional development.

Membership enables the Agency to monitor European initiatives in a timely manner, access information on new calls for funding and international partnership opportunities, participate in the development of project proposals, and actively participate in European development initiatives. At the same time, it contributes to greater international recognition of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County and opens up new opportunities for cooperation with European institutions, development agencies, and other relevant partners.

Through active participation in the work of EURADA, the Regional Development Agency of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County continuously strengthens its international contacts, exchanges knowledge and examples of good practice, and develops capacities for the preparation and implementation of development projects that contribute to the sustainable, innovative and competitive development of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County.
