Description of the project: For the purposes of public transport in Rijeka and the Rijeka area, the city will receive 4 new articulated low-floor urban buses, 9 solo low-floor urban-suburban buses and 9 solo suburban vehicles. Thus, the average age of the vehicle fleet will go from the current 11 to only 6, which is a significant improvement indicator of the passenger transportation in Rijeka and the Rijeka area. All buses comply with the EURO 6 emission standards. Moreover, the new buses will provide greater comfort to passengers who travel to their destinations more distant than 40 kilometres and whose travel in one direction takes more than 60 minutes, as they are structurally intended for longer journeys and offer predominantly sitting places.
