Description of the project: The aim of the project is the establishment of an integrated system of waste management in the area of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, which will ensure the collection, processing and disposal of waste in an efficient manner. The project is located in the municipality of Viškovo, 10 km north of the City of Rijeka. The entire project refers to the construction of landfills and facilities for mechanical-biological treatment of waste (MBT) at the location of Marišćina and includes the construction of 5 transfer stations by the units of local self-government. According to the last population census (2011) The Primorje-Gorski Kotar County has 296,195 inhabitants, which are also the target group of this project.
