The developmental project of the Port of Rijeka and the Rijeka Gateway Project are co-financed with EU funds from the CEF – Connecting Europe Facility – Programme.
A total of nine projects of the overall value of HRK 2.6 billion are being implemented by the Port of Rijeka Authority and the railway company HŽ Infrastruktura:
- Reconstruction of railway station Rijeka – Brajdica and construction of the intermodal terminal at the Brajdica container terminal
- Reconstruction of the cargo part of railway station Rijeka – Cargo and construction of the intermodal terminal at the Zagrebačka obala container terminal
- Reconstruction of general cargo wharf in the port of Raša
- Reconstruction of railway infrastructure in the area of the Port of Rijeka – Rijeka sea basin
- Reconstruction of railway infrastructure in the area of the Port of Rijeka – Bakar sea basin
- IT system project of the port community
- Reconstruction of the existing and construction of the second track gauge on the section Križevci-Koprivnica – State border
- Preparation of project documentation for the section of the railway line Škrljevo-Rijeka – Jurdani
- Development of a multimodal platform in the Port of Rijeka and connecting to the
- Adriatic Gate Container Terminal
